Portal Alcalá is a residential development of two 25-level towers on a shared three-level parking podium, in Distrito El Espino (La Libertad Este, San Salvador metropolitan area), developed by Urbánica. We provided the structural and post-tensioning design: the seismic-resisting system combines special concrete moment frames and shear walls with post-tensioned slabs. Seismic design followed ASCE 7-22, supplemented by the most recent seismic hazard study for El Salvador, with concrete design per ACI 318-19.
